The United States government works hard to provide the citizens with the best quality education they are able to. Some of the best schools in the country are public schools which are funded by the government. The government works to make sure that both students and teachers are protected equally. They review and revise education laws as often as possible to cater to the ever changing education environment. With billions of dollars set aside for education and campaigns including “No Child Left Back”, they try their best to make sure every individual receives the basic primary and secondary education that they need to have a good future.
Compared to many countries, the US has one of the lowest illiteracy rates and lawmakers will do anything to make sure it stays that way. An educated society will shape the future of the country so it is only natural, and in the government’s best interest, to provide them with the tools and knowledge they need. Education is a big part of a child’s development and the government along with several non profit organizations is there to make sure every child receives the education they deserve.
Even though it seems that funds are being cut from the public school system, these funds are actually being put to good use in other sectors of academics. Like parents, the government does not want to see a child deprived of their schooling and even with a lower budget, they will do anything in their power to make sure that every child receives the education they require. Extracurricular activities including gym and music classes are important but one has to understand that at times the budget simply does not allow that and those funds are better spent on the much needed basic education. Once more financing is available, every school will get back the programs that they have had to cut back on.
